The Wednesday Word - hircine
Today’s word is hircine, which means being a goat, resembling
a goat, smelling like a goat or strangely enough to be lustful or libidinous. I
am not sure how those definitions fit together, but I am going to stick to the
goaty definition.
Here is my quote for it:
“He not only had a hircine beard, tangly and unkempt, but a
hircine stench seemed to follow him, or his beard, around.”

Feel free to let me know if you ever come across a word you think may be appropriate for this part of my blog.

Goats were traditionally associated with lasciviousness -- think satyrs and much of Greek mythology.
