The Wednesday Word - nebbish
Today’s word is nebbish. It means a weak willed, timid or
ineffectual person. I think everyone knows someone like this, sometimes they
can attract sympathy, other times they can promote frustration and you just
want to shake them and tell them to shape up and speak out and do something.
Here is my quote for it:
“He had always been a nebbish, perhaps because of his
awkward social demeanour, which may have been as a result his domineering
mother, which could be due to his family’s overwhelming wealth, which meant
that the only real decision he had to make each day was which side of the bed
he was going to get out of, which for even that task he had hired help.”

Feel free to let me know if you ever come across a word you think may be appropriate for this part of my blog.
