The Wednesday Word - ruth
Today’s word is ruth, which means showing compassion or pity
for another. Its opposite is more widely known, but it is still a word in its
own right.
“There has been some conjecture among Biblical historians
that before he was married, Boaz was the typical ruthless agrarian employer,
but the historical evidence clearly shows that after marrying, his ruth
overflowed, not only for his new wife but also those in his employ.”
