Do you know what Helen Keller's greatest frustration was?
I am a hearing person who at one stage of my life learnt sign language for a couple of years. So I know in part (although only a very small part) of the difficulties of the Deaf community, but also the beauty and richness in that community. Here is a wonderful video from an old documentary in which Helen Keller speaks out (yes, she actually does), about what her greatest frustration is.
Here is one of my favourite Helen Keller quotes to finish off this blog post:
"I long to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief duty to accomplish small tasks as if they were great and noble." Helen Keller
