Here is an amazing story about a fight which broke out between a lone jogger and a kangaroo. Here is part of his account although you can read the full story here:
"She looked friendly enough so I didn't give it much thought but she hopped in my path and came at me, growling and hissing"
"she started clawing at me so I whacked her a couple of times to get her away"
The story goes on that when the cranky roo rocked back on to her tail, ready to strike with her powerful hind legs, he grabbed her by her front paws and tried to push her away, but she kicked out. The first kick connected with his stomach.
The second missed, with the roo's claw catching on his singlet. Mr Young said he threw the big grey to the ground but she managed to get back up for round two.
He continues: "She was lashing out at me so I punched her between the nose and eyes and ran to a nearby house."
His finally justification is the best line of the whole story:
"Yes, we went fisticuffs but I certainly did not start the fight"
This video has not yet reached the Top 10 of all time youtube videos yet (as at 26/9/12), but in my opinion, it won't be long. There is something vaguely hypnotic about it, and in case you haven't seen it yet, here it is.
I am neither condoning or condemning this video, but thought you should be up on the most recent internet fads. 280 million views can't be wrong, can it.
That is all.
I love the music that accompanies this clip. Brilliant.

A GIF is a Graphics Interchange Format which is an image that moves. It allows people to put things in emails or blogs that move without any click or touch (that is, it does it automatically on loading). A lot of ads have them. Anyway, after that technical introduction, many GIFs become famous because of the image or the (sometimes) attached sound. Here is a compilation of some of the best GIFs with sound. (And yes, because this is a youtube clip, it won't start automatically).
Enjoy.

Don't ask why or how, or you won't be able to sleep tonight.

Any science experiment that involves a call from the teacher for everyone to put their "Hands in the ears" is worth watching.
Thanks to St Eutychus for this link, who after a couple of weeks of in depth social and religious commentary (which was excellent) is back to regular programming of funny youtube videos and fantastic internet finds.

The video was taken down at one stage, so in case it happens again, here is a photo of it.
Here is an amazing Dad who sent his son's favourite toy, Stanley (from Thomas the Tank Engine) into space. Quite incredible.
In case you missed, here is an episode of Thomas the Tank Engine, Rusty and the Boulder, being narrated by a 2 year old.

I just heard this on the radio. Hiromi, a Japanese jazz pianist, has taken a well known classical piece (if not what has become a cheesy one) and given it a complete workover into a jazz version. I love it.
