Labor: Can't manage drunken violence

THE Australian Country Labor Party has been forced to edit an abusive TV ad after Labor complained about it subliminally referring to leader Paul Henderson as a "jerk off".

The ad features an optometrist's eye chart - and the letters spell out 'HENDO IS A JERK OFF GET RID OF HIM!!'.

It went viral on social media sites late on Sunday.

Labor's national secretary George Wright told the Sydney Morning Herald it was "disgraceful" and insisted it be withdrawn immediately.

The CLP today released an anonymous statement saying the line had been removed from the commercial.

"The Chief Minister and Labor should now make a similar commitment to end their scaremongering campaign which is based on lies and deception," the statement said.
