New pens at work

One of the most exciting things at my work lately is a new order of pens. Now I don't usually get excited about pens, but these ones feel great, write well and even better is that there is an abundance of them. However when you get them out of the box they look like this:

Do you notice that small cover or tip on the end of it. I assume it is to prevent ink leakage in the box or perhaps some other reason.

Anyway, when you get them out of the box they also have this label on them:

I wonder how many people have thrown them out because the pen doesn't work or perhaps called up the pen complaint line only to be told you have to "Remove tip cover before use".

Anyway three cheers for the new pens at work. Three jeers for the people who made this label necessary.
