Eleanor Patience
I rarely get personal on my blog, and usually fill it up with photos or comments that are silly, useless or sometimes both if I am really on fire.
However the birth of a child is where the real world intersects with my blog world. So here is an announcement.
After about 4-5 hours of intense labour and only one push (albeit one almighty push) at 1:40am on 11 October 2011 my wife gave birth to a little girl. Thankfully we had already arrived at the hospital when this push happened (as opposed to my fear of delivering the baby on the side of the road) and she came out with blue eyes, small tuffs of red hair and a rather unusual but temporary tan due to her inability to hold on while in utero (the same problem her big brother had during his birth). She weighed 3.215kg and came home today at lunch.
We have named her Eleanor Patience and this is a photo of her.

Eleanor is not only a beautiful name she's also a beautiful baby! Congratulations to all three of you. I'm sure she will grow up just like the Cab Sav described below :-)

Total late-comer to this post but it caught my eye because we have an Eleanor too. Ours has just turned 8. Great name!
