A Blogging good lunch
Today I did something which many people would think was strange, intriguing, but possibly very nerdy. I had lunch with 5 people who I only know from the blog world. It was organised by the guy who runs this blog - I'm Rambling Again - and attended by others who run these blogs - Luke's Inner Workings, Craig's Blog, The Rodeo - and another guy who may or may not have a blog.
It was not anything like I expected, primarily because I was expecting us all to turn up there with computers and laugh and snort as we each typed and posted interesting or witty thoughts or observations on our blogs after which we would all continue to laugh and snort as we each took turns to make an interesting or witty comment or reply.
In fact it turned out to be just a normal conversation between six people, and if I didn't know better I would almost be willing to say that bloggers are just like real people.

Michael Canaris was the other guy :)
Thanks.
It was awesome to meet you! You're right-the distinct lack of laptops and sheer normality was freakish!! You'd think we were all normal people or something! Lol.
Normal is relative, right?
Normal nerds?
Of course.
Andrew, I am yet to meet a Blogger that I haven't already met... if you know what I mean but in 1997 I did meet some like minded ladies I'd only met through the internet then a couple of months later I drove to an isolated farm house in the Blue Mountains and met another 6 internet friends who came from Canberra, Orange, Lithgow and suburbs all over Sydney!
I am still very good friends with all but one of these people catching up with several last week at Quilt Show in Darling Harbour... I reckon the Internet is a fantastic way to meet people who share your own interests!
Way to go...
