Mark Yates (Letters, July 19), while some religious services deserve a PG rating for supernatural themes, not to mention judgment, hell, violence, death and resurrection, others require parental guidance for what they say and teach about mercy, heaven, compassion, life and love.
Does the former mean we should forbid instruction to children on the latter? Not at all. In fact Jesus’ own response was, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Mark 10:14).
