London’s ageing, over-crowded underground network suffers derailments and the threat of being blown apart (“Rush hour train derails on London's Tube”, July 6). Sydney’s sagging, overwhelmed rail system suffers a bit of wind and is actually blown apart (“Another oh-no moment as trains suffer wind once more”, July 6). Public transport campaigners must be crying themselves to sleep these days (that is, on the nights they make it home).
